Control System

The new SC-12 Road Marking Vehicle Control System provides advanced striping and truck control capabilities by creating a single, integrated electronic system for nearly the entire striping truck.

Operators now have control of hydraulic and pneumatic pressures, temperature control, application rates, lights, cameras, linear actuators, and much more.

Straightforward menus and shared configuration between devices makes setup easier than ever before.  Built-in diagnostic and troubleshooting features minimize vehicle down time and maximize productivity.  Every output device has a status indicator, making diagnostics very simple.

Recent Acquisition

Skip-Line, Inc. is pleased to announce that we have recently acquired Research Derivatives, Inc., another control system manufacturer.

Herbert Hartman, owner and founder of Research Derivatives, passed away on August 20th at the age of 91. Herb was an early pioneer in the road marking industry. He grew Research Derivatives almost single-handedly since its inception in 1967. Herb will be missed. His obituary can be found here: http://www.sacbee.com/2014/08/25/6653911/obituary-electronics-expert-william.html

One of Herbert’s primary concerns before his passing was ensuring that his loyal customers would receive support for their existing road marking controllers once he was gone. He wanted his customers to be in good hands for their future road marking needs. Rather than dissolving Research Derivatives, he asked Skip-Line to take over the business he built so his customers would be taken care of.

Skip-Line will honor Herb’s wishes and welcome the Research Derivatives’ customers into our family. We will provide our renowned customer support as we service and repair the Research Derivatives controllers for as long as their components are available. When repair isn’t an option, we will work to find an alternative state-of-the-art Skip-Line product. It is Skip-Line’s intention to have replacement controls available for all Research Derivatives models by 2015.

Please feel free to contact Skip-Line with any questions concerning this acquisition. If you are a Research Derivatives product owner, feel free to send us your road marking electronic controllers for evaluation and repair by Skip-Line’s trained staff.
